format
FAT or FAT32.
your friends flash drive is not 2tb. more likely it is a 2 gig flash drive, and i would imagine the xbox doesnt like the format of the drive. try hooking it up to a laptop and formatting the flash drive. fat32 or ntfs will work. good luck.
FAT16, FAT32, NTFS, EXT2,3,4
You flash drive has FAT32 file system. FAT32 doens't support so big files. Try to format your flash drive in NTFS and everything will work. Also you might not have enough free disk space on your flash drive.
To format a 250 GB hard drive to FAT32, connect the drive to your computer, then open Disk Management (Windows) or Disk Utility (Mac). In Disk Management, right-click the drive, select "Format," and choose FAT32 from the file system options. In Disk Utility, select the drive, click "Erase," choose FAT32 for the format, and then confirm the action. Note that Windows may limit FAT32 to volumes up to 32 GB, so you might need to use third-party software for larger drives.
FAT (file allocation table ) or FAT32 for external
FAT32
Windows Vista does not officially support booting from a FAT32 drive, although it is technically possible. Vista supports FAT32 on Flash drives and hard drives, although it will not format a hard drive over 32 GB as FAT32.
Use FAT32 to be safe. You can store anything with that file system.
no it can also use FAT32 or FAT16
Yes, but you will have to reformat it to FAT32 with the "Iomega FAT32 formatter"
Windows doesn't provide any tools for converting an NTFS volume to FAT or FAT32. You will have to copy the files on the volume to another location and then format the drive. Note that FAT32 is a much more limited file system than NTFS, and there is probably no advantage to doing so on a server.
