If your device shows it's connected to Wi-Fi but there's no internet access, try restarting your router and device first. Check if other devices can connect to the internet on the same network; if they can't, the issue may be with the router or internet service. Additionally, ensure that your device's network settings are configured correctly and that airplane mode is off. If the problem persists, consider resetting your network settings or contacting your internet service provider.

If you are using a direct internet connection then you should be connected automatically to the internet. If you are using proxy then you must mention that in your browser's connection settings to successfully connect to the internet

If you're trying to connect using the WiFi USB stick, you need to turn off your firewall. It's stopping your connection. (For more help I suggest going to Nintendo.com)

My iPod touch does this all the time. There are a few things that could be happening. 1. It could be that you are in a wifi zone that is password protected, but your iPod still says you are connected. 2. You could only be close enough to the wifi that you only get one "bar" so it takes a long time to load or it never does load and says it fails.
There is a play offline button that you can use when not online or not connected to the internet.
nothing, that means it's trying to connect to the internet.
If this is when you first get it, that means you need to load music on to your iPod before you can do anything. If this is when you push the iTunes App, that means that you are not connected to Wi-Fi.
The reason Safari says it cannot open a page because it is not connected to the Internet is because.... it cannot open a page because it is not connected to the Internet. (i.e. you don't have an internet connection - check your WiFi status in your iPod Touch "settings")
you might connected to dead end network, which means the wifi network is not connected to the internet. So, yes, you're connected to the wireless network but not to the internet.
