The Layers panel lists all of the layers making up an image, displaying each layer's name and thumbnail view. You can use the Layers panel to hide, view, reposition, delete, rename, and merge layers.
To lock layers in Pixlr, first select the layer you want to lock from the Layers panel. Then, look for the lock icon, typically located at the top of the Layers panel, and click on it. This will prevent any modifications to the selected layer, ensuring that it remains unchanged while you work on other layers. To unlock the layer, simply click the lock icon again.
To create a new layer mask from a saved selection, first load the selection by going to the "Select" menu and choosing "Load Selection." Then, click on the layer you want to add the mask to and click the "Add Layer Mask" button at the bottom of the Layers panel.
Either right-click in the timeline panel and choose to CREATE LAYER, or hit the little icon under the existing layer/s to create a new empty layer or folder. To work on that layer, just select it and edit the content of the stage. If you are editing an object over or under another object in another layer, lock out the layer you are editing over or under and reselect the layer you want to edit in so you don't accidentally affect the other objects.
To copy a mask in Photoshop, you can right-click on the mask thumbnail in the Layers panel and choose "Duplicate Layer" or "Duplicate Mask." This will create a copy of the mask that you can then apply to another layer or make adjustments to.
In terms of Photoshop the Layer panel is used to add/remove/enhance/dodge/burn the specific part of the picture, the layer panel is used to do digital correction to the image.
You select the 3D Buildings layer in the Layers panel on the left. If Layers panel is not shown then check the Sidebar option in the View menu.
To access and utilize the layer panel in your design software, look for a tab or menu option labeled "Layers" or "Layer Panel." Click on it to open the panel, where you can organize and manage different elements of your design by arranging them in separate layers. This allows you to easily edit, hide, or rearrange specific parts of your design without affecting the rest.
