On a 2001 Land Rover Freelander with a petrol engine, the camshaft position sensor is typically located on the cylinder head, near the front of the engine. It is mounted close to the camshaft, often on the side of the engine block, and may require removal of engine covers or components for access. Always consult the vehicle's repair manual for specific details and diagrams to ensure accurate identification and location.
how many miles to the gallon does a 1.8 petrol landrover freelander do?
my landrover freelander 2004 1.8 petrol,is averaging 27 to 30mpg.and ive been told if you take the 4wheel drive shaft of it can increase your miles by another 5 to 8 mpg,the best answer is to get it converted to gas/petrol,costs around £1100.then you get simular mpg, maybe slightly less mpg but gas is almost half the price of petrol..
my land rover alarm is not working now i can not start the car,its gone into alarm mode how can i overide it,landrover freelander 2000 4 cylinder petrol

assuming petrol engine, access gained by removing small panel in floor located behind rhr seat, undo clips and move carpet aside, remove 6 screws and lift plate. disconnect electrical connector and fuel line, undo large ring nut. careful with seal when refitting....it must be fitted to tank, NOT to pump.
should be a 50/50 mix that's what ive always done
