On an iMac, there isn't a dedicated physical eject button like on some other devices. Instead, you can eject a disc by clicking the Finder icon, selecting the disc from the sidebar, and then clicking the eject icon next to it. Alternatively, you can press Command (⌘) + E on your keyboard to eject the selected disc. If you have a keyboard with an eject key, it may also serve this purpose.

if you have got the wireless keyboard you just press the button on the top right, if not you click on the disk and drag to the trash can icon which will of changed to a eject icon

No the button is only to eject a game disc or DVD. If you don't have a disc in you can still press the button without hurting the PS3

With the computer off, hold down the mouse button and turn it on. Keep holding the mouse button until the CD ejects. If the CD does not eject, the drive may be damaged.
Hold Eject button down for 6 seconds (while PS3 is on): force disc to eject. I was able to get a disc out by turning off the PS3 by unplugging it and then try holding down the eject button for 6 seconds when turned on and plugged in.
