Its below the CAM SENSOR.. while facing the front of your engine it is located on the Right side of the engine the Cam Sensor has a shap of a square and the screws are in each corner the oil sensor is below it...
it is the oil pressure sensor. Check your oil level, then test your oil pressure sensor.

The sensor behind the oil filter for a 1998 Neon is a crankshaft position sensor. Unplug the wiring and remove the hold down bolt to replace it.
the crankshaft sensor is above the oil filter on my 00 neon. it has one 10 mm bolt that needs taken out to remove the sensor
The oil filter is under the engine. Next to the oil pan.
