Different people seem to disagree on this.

In todays world of electronics, there are little actual difference between computers, including laptops.

A top model from Dell and a top model from HP are quite compareable in performance. The difference that might matter the most is the pricetag.

Customer support is a very important factor. I have experience with HP and they have actually not been able to help me with any of my problems. That is a big minus in their book, but on the other hand, I do not think companies are much different and I doubt that Dell would be able to help me with similar problems to those I had either.

(I bought a HP in USA, explaining that I am travelling the world and want to watch DVD film on it. The DVD player however is firmware locked to one zone only and I can only change it 3 times. This is so irritating as HP does not want to do anything and they deny responsibility.)

My Laptop otherwise though have been working flawlessly for 5 years now. It never crashes and as long as I keep the vents dustfree, it never overheats.

It has got great inbuildt sound, not just ordinary tiny beepers with metallic sound.

All in all, I can recommend HP.

If I were to buy a new one, then I would compare a lot of details on a few different computers of different brands.

Answer:

Dell is way better then HP here why

- Better battery life

- Better performance

- Better reliability

- You get more bang for your buck

- Dell firmware are much easier to obtain then HP due to the fact that HP fails to publish half of there firmware's online and this leads to making the users have to look over Google to find the right firmware.

- Better customer support

- HP laptop overheats allot (and I have had 2 HP laptop)

Who ever think that HP are good are along the lines from ignorant to stupid.
