Who supports a customer who bought a retail version of Windows Vista ultimate?

Any software or configuration support Microsoft does. If and only if the disk was broken physically when you opened the package will the "Retail store" get involved in replacing the physical media.

It is assumed if you bought it you know how to use it and your gear can handle it. Part of the price you paid is for Microsoft support.

The Retail store owes you nothing other than a good copy.
