Why can't you answer your own questions here?

Answers to questions can actually be found here. They really can. Some of the questions are impossible to understand. They don't make sense. (Pokemon?) Some are so general it is almost impossible to answer them. (How much money have movie stars made?)

Some questions that appear here could be answered by simply looking them up! Why would someone spend time on this site typing in the question and sending it in when just a simple word or two on a good search engine would result in a hit on a site where the answer will certainly be found? (What is the atomic number, atomic weight and the electron configuration for the element carbon?)

Why not just go to Wikipedia, type in carbon and read? And the grammar and syntax (not to mention the spelling) are, at times, stunningly appalling. (How to fan change broken heater Ford pls help.) I'd like to help, but how can I? And what about those questions posted that must be stripped off immediately because they are vulgar trash that is simply cybergraffiti and not a genuine request for information?

Some folks actually think about the question, set it up so that it is both specific and free of ambiguity, and then post it. (Why is nuclear power chosen for application in U.S. Naval submarines?) In spite of the difficulties, there are a dedicated core of individuals who spend time here sharing knowledge and experiences to help others. Answers to questions can actually be found here.

Consider making a personal contribution by fielding some of the questions like the caring folks who run this thing do.

To the top-left of the page - you should see the words 'quick links'. click the little '>' next to it - and click on 'my contributions'. That will show you everything you've done on here - you can use the filter to search for 'questions asked'.

From looking at the history of the person asking this question, the answer seems to be "because your questions are ill-formed, nebulous, and uninteresting" or "because your questions are highly specific and should be resolved by actually reading the manual to the thing you're asking about."

Try looking in the category that you are interested in. That may be easier than finding the exact wording that someone else has used.

And who said you couldn't? You are certainly welcome to answer questions you post. But make sure the questions are appropriate for the site and don't violate the Terms of Use for WikiAnswers.
