You cannot get a pear laptop. Though the pear laptop has been seen on popular TV programs, it is imitating Apple, but the program would get sued for using Apple on the program, so they slappped a pear skin on apple products so Apple couldn't sue the program. They are not available anywhere. Even if you could get a pear laptop, it is just a stage prop; it will not do anything.
If the CD contains photos or music they will work on a Mac. If the CD contains a Windows program it will not run on any Apple computer.

Apple laptop computers are compatible with gaming software. There are many many more titles of games available for Windows computers though. Apple computers do get a lot of games but some of them come out later for Mac than Windows. Also, the more cutting edge games are more well suited to be ran on a Windows computer.
As a former Windows User for over 10 years who switched to Apple 4 years ago, I can say without reservation that the Apple Macbook Pro is the best laptop you can buy.
