I don't know. My Dell 1008FP started to flicker and has a pink cast since I reformatted my computer. I have deleted the monitor and video card drivers, downloaded new updated ones and installed, same issue. My Microsoft wireless mouse is also hopping all over since the reformat.
No, this will not work. Laptop video cards are designed for the laptop they are installed in. They are not removable from the laptop and do not have the same connections that a desktop has anyway.
It could happen when you log back to your desktop after remotely logging into your desktop and logging off. What happened to me was I logged into my office desktop from home and logged off. Then I came to work and when I logged in to my desktop with dual monitors, I saw the above message on the second monitor. Just shutting down the desktop and restarting worked!
