In most cases the problem is type of security you are using for wireless. If it's the case make sure that your printer is set properly to work with secured networks (it should be compatible too).
If you use open type network, the problems usually in setting properties of wireless connection for the printer. Make sure that it configured properly for your type of network: automatically get IP, or manually and so on.
By default wireless routers block all incoming connections. You need to to open the remote desktop port on the router. And also you might have to setup redirecting of incoming remote desktop connections on a particular pc.
1)you should have the software CD that came with your printer, just install the printer software on each of the computers you want to be used by the printer.Make sure the CD you have is compatible with you computer system. If you have lost the printer CD or if it doesnt work with your computer's operating system, you can download the latest version of the internet.2)During the instalation of the software you should select either Through the Network, Network, or Wireless when you are asked.
I recommend not to plug the printer to your computer yet. Insert the installation CD that came with the printer in your computer. Run the software. It will also show you instructions on how to setup the printer itself. Follow the instructions. If you don't have the installation CD, you can download the updated driver from the Lexmark website www.lexmark.com. Hope this helps.
Some printers have a wireless adapter, but most of them don't. There are two cases. You connect the printer to a computer which has a wireless adapter, or if your printer has a lan card you can connect it to your wireless router and use advantages of wireless networking in that way.

I own an HP office jet V40. I'm able to send faxes, scan, copy, and print. It doesnt take up too much space on your desk and it's reasonably price.
Have you got wireless Internet? Because you need that to go on the Internet.
Move closer to your wireless router so the signal will be stronger.
