That's strange phrasing. Plugged on would indicate that your flash drive has an on/ off switch. Which to my knowledge none of them do. When you plug it into a Ian port it recieves power automatically. Usually when there is no initial reaction from your computer when your first plug your flash drive its from one of two things. First, the usb port you are using is fried. To check this either try a different usb port or see if a different peripheral device will work. ie. Camera/ mouse/ what have you. If that's not the case then you need to install drivers for your usb port itself. Look up how to do that on Google since its motherboard specific.
