generally ice cream is in solid state,but it desolves to liquid state at room temperature.

this may be one reason,and we cant say that all ice creams in its normal state(solid) have the same weight(generally when taken both with same quantity in litres),this is the main reason to not using other units for measure.

Once u can take to diff ice creams make it to melt and take them a same measure in litres in two cups(now we have taken two diff ice creams of same measure in litres).Then make the cream to freeze to that of normal ice cream temperature,now take both cups and measure them in M.K.S units. U can oberve the difference...!
