Well, I've had hamsters and I bathed them and because they clean themselves using soap and water diminishes natural oils from their skin you can do it but you have to be very careful and keep them warm afterwards because I was young about 10 and careless and she froze at night and got very sick later passed away
dont give your gerbil a 'water' bath use chinchilla dust
probably no if u dont over do it
yes
The chemicals in the pen ink could be potentially dangerous for you gerbil. Don't do it!
No, there is no special soap for giving a gerbil a bath.
Yes they love this, I bath my gerbil and cat together Only if you never want it to learn to swim.
Yea it could be possible. Unless of course you are to bath it regularly and make sure that it and it's cage are clean. It isn't always the case. Do you take this gerbil outside at all? If so, yes it could have bugs. To get rid of this just simply give the gerbil and it's cage a good cleaning.
Yes, but with NO water in - just to play in an empty tub.
If you are a good care taker, your gerbil probably will not need a bath in water. Gerbils do like to take dust baths. The pet store sells the dust and your gerbil may be a little apprehensive at first, but give him/her some time and they will roll around in the dust in no time. It will be kinda shy. But after a couple minutes it'll hop in there.
no
Never give gerbils brownies, if a dogs digestive system disagrees with chocolate it can hurt them and even kill them so i suppose it might be dangerous for a gerbil too. But cant you find any special chocolates buttons found in pets stores for your gerbil instead?
Half fill a small basin with lukewarm water. Then gently put your gerbil in but don't let it go. Massage pet shampoo into its fur and rinse it off with the water already in the basin. Don't let the gerbils head go underwater and be gentle. Once all the shampoo is gone take your gerbil out and towel dry it. Give it a treat so it knows he was good and wasn't being punished.
