its depends on the video card you have, the amount of Ram on your card and the amount of ram on your mother-board. When you play a game with high graphics your video card gets flooded with information. If you don't have enough memory on the card/mother board to handle the graphics and your processor speed isn't fast enough to compute the amount of information be sent from the program your computer slows down to handle it which drops your frame rate
