thanks for reading.
First my specs:
AMD fx 6300 six core 3.50ghz
8gb of RAM
Windows 10 64
Gtx 660 zotac
Gx bronze 650w
Motherboard: ga-78lmt-s2
Hd 500gb
this setup worked fine for me for 3 years.
My PC only starts with the on-board graphics, the 660 outputs nothing to the screen,to make the 660 works i need to remove the motherboard battery to reset the bios, doing a short with a screwdriver don`t seen to work {the PC stars in boot mode, but not the 660},after doing the thing with the battery the GPU works fine outputting signal, but after 1 or 2 minutes the PC restart automatically, now only working the on-board graphics,to make the 660 work again i need to do the battery thing again, but it will only last for 1 or 2 minutes again. this problem has persisted for 2 weeks now.
any idea what could fix ?
thanks in advance.
disconnect the negative battery terminal only for a while. Sometimes it works in 10 minutes, sometimes an hour. Do it for an hour.
Disconnect the battery for 5 minutes. This should reset the ECU. This only works on vehicles with OBD1 systems. OBD2 systems usually require the use of an OBD2 scan tool.
Only if the BIOS battery is flat or out of circuit.
You may not have the driver for your motherboard chipset properly installed. You may also have the drive configured improperly in your BIOS.
Only way is to remove the either battery cable for about 10 minutes

Yes. Despite how it sounds, "dumping" only copies the BIOS; it does not remove or modify it.
PS1 BIOS files are copyrighted by Sony. To stay legal, you should only use a BIOS file from your own PlayStation console. We provide educational guidance on how to dump your own BIOS legally.
if you don't have a proper scan tool to reset it, then the only other way is to disconnect the battery for 5 minutes. warning : the radio and clock, etc will reset also & the radio security lock could activate (radio would then not work until reset)
Yes.
Downloading BIOS files from the internet for video games is illegal. The only legal way to download BIOS files is to dump it from your own video game console.
Easiest way is to just disconnect the battery for a couple minutes. The only issue when hooking it back up is it may take a couple minutes for the idle to stabilize.
