Found the answer to my own question. It looks as though the VX Nano mouse from logitech is prone to the left click wearing out. Theres a YouTube video showing how to replace the part which you can find in any mouse but it requires soldering and de-soldering so its do-able but not a super easy.
Its sad because this was their top of the line model and retailed around $70 and now they are discontinued and replaced them with the Marathon M705 $4. Sucks for logitech! Good for me cause they are $18 on eBay now and even if it won't last 2+ years its worth it. I bought my vx nano second hand and have been using it for 1 1/2 years so who knows how long this issue takes to develop.
While researching the issue I called logitech and their over-seas customer service guy had no idea why "words wouldn't stay highlighted." He had me hold the left click down and then right click 5 times. When that didn't work he didn't know what to do. I let him know it wasn't a big deal (more a pet peeve) and I was just calling to see if hes heard of the issue. I happily hung up thinking I would just use the shift key as the work around. After I found the help forums on Logitech I learned these mice have a three year warranty! I thought maybe I still had a warranty and I could send it in for repair.
Long story short..I unexpectedly called logitech to see if I had any warranty left. Now this is speculation but because the customer service rep was American and he said he was having a crap day he replaced my mouse with the M705 for free and I didn't have to ship him back anything either! I suspect he wanted to do something nice and this wasn't the protocol for VX Nano issues but I could be wrong.
I'm stilll using my nano and just using shift to highlight cause the M705 is a bit big for my small hands. Still it is great to have a backup/replacement when this ones completely dead. Also good to see Logitech customer service step up to the plate.
That's my story and I'm stickin to it.

Don't double click, to drag click and hold the button down as you drag.
You click+drag the highlighted one.
TEXT Images
you hav to catch it first
Go to the very last word and click with the left button on your mouse. Hold it down and drag it up. (This is in other words....highlighting it). Then ounce everything is highlighted, click with your right mouse mutton. A little menu will show up. Then all you have to do is click Copy. Then you can paste it pretty much anywhere.... Hope this helps. :)
You press and hold the left mouse button and drag it until the text you want to be highlighted is highlighted. It takes some practice but you'll be able to do it.
you use the mouse. click and drag it to the line on the top of the game
I would suggest Left Click Double Click Right Click Drag Right Click Drag But you also have Middle Click Scroll Up Scroll Down
Click on the text you want to highlight. It will become highlighted with two markers, which you can click and drag to choose what you want to highlight. The text will stay highlighted, you can then click it and copy it to yoru phone's clipboard.
On the range border. Place the mouse pointer on the highlighted border of the range, so the pointer becomes a 4-pointed cross, then drag to the desired location.
1.click 2.double click 3.drag click 4.right click
Click drag means moving your pointer over an icon and then clicking on it. Then, without unclicking, moving the mouse to where you want to drop the icon. And then unclick. Double click means moving you pointer over an icon and quickly push the left mouse click button two times. Right click just means clicking the right mouse click button. This might be referring to right clicking on an icon. In which case you should hover the mouse pointer over the icon and then push the right mouse button.
