MiniDiscs were announced by Sony in 1991 and introduced on the 12th January 1992. Very popular in Asia, they never really took of in the West, which is very strange, as I swear by them, I always have a MiniDisc running, just in case, when I am working, and they have saved my bacon a couple of times.
Since the macbooks must be returned and repaired, it may take a while. They seem to release the refurbished MacBooks in batches so they are available for a day or two and then there is a gap when they are not available while they build up another batch. It is a case of checking in everyday and then ordering one quickly when they have them.
