The Z9PE-D8 WS is a type of socket that will work with an Asus motherboard. These motherboards can be purchased from all good repair electronic stores.
Yes, Sure will
Without the mainboard, also called motherboard, your computer would not work... at all. Everything is hooked up to it from RAM to hard drive to CPU. The only hardware component it doesn't control is the power supply, but the power supply is also hooked up to the motherboard.
The case, motherboard, and power supply must all be the same form factor. Obviously the motherboard and the case would have to be the same or the motherboard would never fit in the case. Then the power supply must not only fit in the case, but have the same connectors as the motherboard. Otherwise it won't work.
Things to look for: 1. Overload on the circuit 2. Defective capacitors on the power supply. Look for the electrolytic ones that smooth the output of the rectifier. 3. Defective motherboard 4. Defective CPU 5. Invalid switch or jumper setting on the motherboard. On ASUS motherboards with a dual BIOS switch, the switch can be easily moved by a cable sliding by it. If it is in the center position between A and B, the computer won't work.
If the new one is the same size as the old, and you've got enough power supply to run it, it should work fine.
You either have a power supply problem, or if the ports are coming straight off of the motherboard, which they normally are then you obviously have a motherboard problem. Part of it could have shorted out and the only thing you can really do is replace it.
Didnt work, i think the northern portion of my motherboard is fried.
Absolutely, in fact the AMD Athlon 64 X2 is socketed specifically for all AM3 motherboards. Try the ASUS M4A79 Deluxe Motherboard.
Yes, I believe it should. Just make sure your power supply has enough power for that
For the most part AGP 8x Cards WILL NOT work with a AGP 4x slot. The motherboard will only supply 1.5 volts of power to the card leaving the other half with no power and will not work properly.
A motherboard, central processing unit (CPU), and Ram are all necessary to make a computer work. also a power supply is also needed to power the system. these are the bare minimum to run a computer
