You can use this software to get a split screen
http://www.rehanfx.org/split_video.htm
It is not a true split screen in that it uses the wipes in movie maker so you do not get the full frame split.
As an example using a left to right wipe split. You will see the left side of the frame of the first clip but only see the right side or the clip for the second one.
Just use windows live movie maker
Use the Split function to clip videos. And be careful what portions you delete.
The Split button is on the bottom right-hand side of the Preview Pane in Windows Movie Maker.
That can't be done in Windows Movie Maker. Other (purchased) video editing applications offer that type of feature, but not Windows Movie Maker.
You can't do that in Windows Live Movie Maker. It does not have split window feature.
Use the Split feature (below the Preview Pane in the 2.6 version of Windows Movie Maker).Split away the audio you don't want in the Time-line.
You can't show two videos simutaneously in Windows Movie Maker because it only has one video track to work with.If you are talking about side-by-side video though, you can install the Split Screen (vertical) effect. Windows Movie Maker doesn't have this effect already installed so you'll have to download it. I believe Rehanfx offers the Split Screen effect though. You might check it out:http://rehanfx.org/
You have to have the Split Screen effect downloaded and installed on your computer (in the Movie Maker folder). Rehanfx provides instructions on how to get the Split Screen effect to work. I'd check out that site for more information on how to use it:http://www.rehanfx.org/products.htmI use Vista, and even though they say the Split Effect can be downloaded and installed on my system, it still doesn't work. I can download the installer and effect(s) alright, but can't get them to work in Movie Maker. But, that is with the Vista OS. Those using Windows XP shouldn't have any problem downloading, installing or using the effect.
Your clips should not be freezing up after being split. You might consider re-installing your Windows Movie Maker, because it sounds like there may be a problem with the application itself.
No. You can't get the Brady Bunch effect (Split-screen) in Windows Live Movie Maker since the program is a simplified version of Windows Movie Maker v2.6. Split-screen effects can be downloaded from rehanfx for Windows XP operating systems. And, even though some people say the split-screen effect works on Vista, I have not found that to be the case.
Windows Movie maker is standard on every windows pc. I know it has a lot of different effects and I am not certain what you mean by split screen effects but I advise you give movie maker a shot.
In Windows Movie Maker, you can use the Split feature (located beneath the Preview Pane) to cut videos into smaller portions. The time-line view provides 'time' references, but there isn't a feature to cut/split by size unfortunately.
