Go back to the wireless networks and ensure your wireless is activated. Search for wireless networks. Your ad hoc connection should be there; connect to it. Then search for the network on your other laptop. it should show up. connect to it. You will have to enter the network key. Your laptops should be connected. If you intend to game on them you may need to deactivate the firewalls. If you want to share files or a printer you should allow file and printer sharing.
