Yes actually you can, most of the lens cleaning discs are universal, meaning they can be used in CD players, DVD players, game consoles, and blue ray.
Most Discs Will Have Little Brushes On The Reading Side But They Are Very Small. All You Must Do Is Stick Your Disk Into The DVD Player/Portable DVD Player And Follow The Instructions. Often There Will Be A Warning On The Disc Saying "NOT TO BE USED ON AN XBOX OR THE PLAYSTATION SERIES!" As Faults Can Occur When Using Those Discs With Gaming Stations. What You Have To Do After Inserting The Disc Depends On Which Disc You Are Using. There Are Hundreds Of Manufacturer's That Create These. A Phillips Portable DVD Player Lens Cleaner Will Require You To Listen To A Person Talking About What This Disc Will Do, And You Need to Skip Ahead A Few Tracks To Start The Cleaning Process. Others Require You To Do Things Like Watch A Short Clip As It Cleans So You Can See The Improvements.
The lens cleaner may be helpful for poor performance and not cases of a total absence of performance where the disc can not be read. Some people use a Maxell Blu-ray Lens Cleaner. The $24.99 disc sells at Amazon.com for $14.13 and the Maxell Br-Game Blu-ray Game Lens Cleaner sells for $17.44
No, it is not recommended to use glasses cleaner on a camera lens for cleaning purposes. Camera lenses require specific cleaning solutions and tools to avoid damaging the lens coating or affecting image quality. It is best to use a lens cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth designed for camera lenses.
I'd start with a microfiber cloth. If you must use a cleaning compound I would use lens cleaner. If the lens is large enough and you will have to do this regularly you might consider a thing called a lens-pen.
Got a disk read error when I selected a program destination from our list. Tried a disk cleaner no luck. Checked disk for defect none found. Put disk back in same error. I clean with disk with isopropyl rubbing alcohol. DO not rub it on the disk, pat the disk with a very wet lint free towel or paper towel till the disk is wet. I let it soak for a few minutes. Very careful pat it with another paper towel till dry. I let it sit for 1 hour to insure it was dry. I put it back in trouble and error message gone been a month. Hope this help.
The lense may just be dirty from months of use so you might start by purchasing a DVD player cleaner kit from your local retail store they run about ten to twenty dollars and one pass of the cleaner should do the trick if not try it a second time
