At the bottom of the screen there is a button that reads "DVD" with an arrow pointing down. Click that arrow then click subtitles.
In general, most DVD boxes will list out subtitles that the movie is available in. If English subtitles are available, it will be mentioned on the back of the DVD container.

I've found it available on DVD with Spanish subtitles. That's about it so far. Google it & you'll find it.

All i did was hit the subtitle on my controller not on the dvd
The Sony VAIO laptop is available with a DVD writer, but I don't think they have one available for desktops. Try Newegg, they have lots of writers available for a decent price.
