By remote antenna, do you mean Over The Air (OTA). For the OTA, some receivers have a coax port on the back, TV antenna, where you can connect an outside antenna. From the receiver menu, you can scan the OTA channels into the receiver once the receiver has found the OTA channels. If this is not what you are asking, please let me know. Thanks.
You can program your DISH remote to work on your TV and other electronic components but unless you have codes or instructions on how to a universal remote to the receiver, we don't have codes specifically to operate in that manner. I would contact the manufacturer of your remote.
To address the remote to the receiver, you do need to be on the System Info screen. You can accomplish this by pressing the Menu button on the old remote 2 times or by pressing the System Info button on the receiver for certain receiver models. Once you are on the System Info screen just follow the instructions below. On a Dish Network Remote Press and hold the sat button down on the new remote until all the buttons light. release the sat button it should be blinking. press the rec button 3 times. your new remote should now work your Dish Network Receiver.
The remote can work both pieces of equipment. If the remote will not work the receiver, then the remote itself could be the issue. If the remote is not controlling the receiver, press the SAT button and make sure it lights up. If it does, try the functions again. If still nothing, access the System Information screen. Press and hold the SAT button on the remote until all lights at the top come on, then let go and SAT will be blinking. Enter a number between 1 and 15 and press Pound (#). SAT should blink a few times, try the remote again. If still nothing, the remote itself may need to be replaced.
Normally only our remotes will work with our receivers. Some universal remotes may be used but may not have all the functionality of our remotes. You would need to get the code for our receiver from the manufacturer or instructions on how to manually program the remote to our receiver.
A DISH Network receiver can only work with a unique Smart card. The card in the DISH Network receiver that you are referring to would be the smart card.
The iPad does not have a infrared transmitter. You can use the Logitech Harmony Link to connect to your iPad and then control your Dish Network receiver.
Actually, you can use a legacy receiver with a DISH Pro dish. An adapter is needed at the receiver to get the proper signal for that receiver. No, Dish Pro is a stacked technology, which the older 3700 will not recognize.

yes
What receiver do you have? Is it TV 1 or TV 2 that's not working when the lights are off? Have you tried to readdress the remote to your receiver? Normally when the remote stops working, you are getting interference for the IR signal for TV 1 or UHF signal for TV 2. Do you have new batteries in the remote? Please let me know so I can further assist you. Thanks.
