To reset a Uniden Bearcat scanner, first turn off the device. Then, while holding down the 'Hold' and 'Function' buttons, turn the scanner back on. Continue to hold the buttons until the display shows "Initializing" or "Resetting." This process will restore the scanner to its factory settings, erasing any stored frequencies and settings.
To unlock a Uniden Bearcat BC147XLT scanner, press the "L/O" (Lockout) key while the channel you want to unlock is selected. If the channel is locked out, the display will show "L/O." Pressing the "L/O" key again will remove the lockout. Make sure to repeat this process for any other locked channels you wish to unlock.
To program a Uniden Bearcat BC245XLT handheld scanner, first power on the device and press the "MANUAL" button to select a channel.
