To get a wireless adapter to work with Windows XP (or any version of Windows), you need to install a device driver. This is usually provided by the manufacturer on a CD. If you have lost the CD, you can usually also download one from the manufacturer's website.
DSP is an industry term that means the CD included with this product is a Hologram CD and not a CD labeled by a specific computer manufacturer (i.e. Dell, HP, etc.)
Before connecting the new printer, make sure you install the drivers provided by the manufacturer. These should be on a CD that came with the printer. If you do not have/can not find the CD, you should be able to download them from the manufacturer's website.

There are a number of manufacturers that make high qualty blank CD-R discs. These include popular companies such as Memorex, Sony, Phillips, and Verbatim.
To wipe a hard drive, you would normally need a recovery CD which is normally provided by the manufacturer. Reboot your PC with a CD which has a shredder and partitioning tool on it. You can then proceed to wipe the hard drive using the tools on the CD.
The driver from the manufacturer's website is almost always the most recent one available. The one that came on the CD with the product may not be.
