A CDG Karaoke disc is the same size as a regular CD, 120mm, but contains an additional recording layer, which displays the song lyrics on a TV when played on a Karaoke player equipped for CDG technology. Your TV will display the words to the song on your screen and change colour when it is time to sing those lyrics. There are NO video scenes or movies in the background. Regular household CD players or PC's can at least play the audio tracks of CDG discs, but to reproduce the words on a TV screen requires a special player.
