If a battery is "shorted", meaning that its terminals are connected together
through a low resistance, high current flows in the connection and the battery
becomes discharged very soon. It makes no difference whether any part of the
battery is connected to ground.
It could blow up the battery.
A battery cannot be drained by a shorted diode when the ignition key is off.
Depending on the age of the vehicle you probably have shorted or grounded the electrical system causing fuse(s) to blow. Question was kind of broad may want to be more specific
depends on a lot of things........is your battery shorted out or is it just dead?
Grounded - comics - happened in 2005.
The entire metal chassis and body is grounded with the negative side of the battery.
Cause it is shorted out ,replace it.
Overcharge, often due to a shorted cell.
it gets shorted because distilled water contains some of the chemicals which allow conduction
Yes but not likely. Was ther a huge amount of smoke? is your battery a puddle? if not it hasn't been shorted.
Disconnect battery from vehicle - if this still happens battery is probably shorted internally and requires replacement
