You need to understand that the electric door locks are operated by power supplied by -- wait for it -- the battery! If your battery is dead, there is no way for the electric door locks to work, unless you put a charger on the battery while the battery cables are still connected. This is probably not recommended. Voltage spikes from the charger could take out sensitive electrical parts. Use the key and charge or replace your battery.
