I wouldn't think so. Floor tile is glazed in a furnace at several thousand degrees - hard to duplicate when the tile is already installed on a floor in a house.
I work as floor maintenance, and I prefer unglazed tile in businesses, as they will hold wax and sealer very well. Glazed tiles are not meant to be waxed or stripped, so when a business has those, and don't tell you they are glazed, it causes a lot of wasted time and money. Unglazed tile, when properly cared for, will have a very nice shine to it. I've been able to groom myself in several floors after waxing them. Glazed tile will never have this shine. On the contrary, glazed tile is a very low maintenance floor. It takes little to care for it, usually just mopping. Excellent for residential use. So whether its better or not depends on what you are using it for.

The most important consideration when choosing floor for bathroom is moisture. The top three choices are ceramic tile, sheet or tile vinyl, or stone which can be expensive.

Quarry tile is a tile made from clay and shale. It is very dense and often comes un glazed. It is a very natural looking tile.
Mop the floor with the tile cleaner. Spray the cleaner on walls and counters then wipe it down with a soft sponge. Avoid abrasive mops and sponges because these scratch the tile and can damage old grout.

The bathroom floor should be of a slip-resistant material surface, whether it be tile, stone, vinyl, or carpeting.
As long as it is not natural stone only the grout must be sealed.
A square of glazed tile often found in a bathroom is commonly referred to as a "ceramic tile" or "glazed tile." These tiles are typically used for walls and floors due to their water resistance and ease of cleaning. They can come in various colors, patterns, and sizes, making them a popular choice for bathroom design.
Paint thinner will take off the oil based paint, but first test it in a corner to ensure it will not damage the face. Glazed tile shouldn't be damaged from paint thinner, but you would want to be sure.
