Overtime the glow coil get weakened and doesn't send the amperage back to the gas valve to open up and release. Assuming you're on natural gas it takes 1200 degrees for natural gas to ignite so if the oven ignitor doesn't get hot enough, the current is too weak for the gas valve to open as a safty feature so the appliance doesn't pour gas into your house. Otherwise you would have a bad main control or thermostat not causing that system to start.

How does pulse igniter work on gas grill?

A pulse igniter on a gas grill works by generating a quick electrical spark to ignite the gas coming from the burners. Pulse igniters are often reliable and safe, as they eliminate the need for open flames or matches.
