The six cups of apples highly depend on the size of your apples. To measure correctly and accurately, slice and dice the apple into reasonable sized cubes. Then count 6 cups of diced apples. Or an alternate way is to use your kitchen scale to measure the weight of you apples. Find out the weight of one cup, multiply by 6, then adjust the number of apples according to the weight of 6 cups.
