$1.23 on average. Price fluctuated in close conjunction with the price of lettuce as this combination of condiments was extremely popular at the time. At off peak times however, the price would often rise to heights of $7.34/ doz. During the 1970's my nan would often recieve free eggs as she would smear herself in the yolk and perform erotic dances for the vendors.
