How to Remove a Fruit Juice Stain

Difficulty: Easy

Instructions

Things You'll Need:
  • large heat proof bowl, such as a stainless steel mixing bowl
  • boiling water, about a kettle full
  • plastic apron, if desired
  • rubber gloves, if desired
  1. Step 1

Extend the article of clothing, stain side down, over the bowl. The stain should be about in the middle of the bowl and the material should be stretched as flatly as possible across the top of the bowl.

  2. Step 2

Pour some of the boiling water through the stain, holding the kettle at least six inches above the article of clothing. Holding the kettle higher is even more effective, but there is more risk of splashing and scalds.

  3. Step 3

Carefully, so as not to burn yourself, turn the fabric right side out again. If there is any signs of a stain still, repeat step 2. Continue to pour boiling water through the stain until all traces have been eliminated.

Is lemon juice good for cancer?

I think all fruit and vegetables are good for our health, but I don't think there is any sign of lemon juice being particularily good for our health. I do know that in organic plum seeds, if you break away the outer shell of the plum seed and eat the inside part it may be good for the prevention of cancer. The vitamin B17 has been shown to help with cancer.

What are the ingredients in plum juice?

Plums, of course. Any fruit juice is mostly water and sugars, with relatively small amounts of other compounds such as carboxylic acids and esters. An exact "recipe" for plum juice is impossible, since many of the compounds are present only in trace amounts, and the relative proportions can vary considerably in any case.

Prunes are not always plums! I know; I was taught that prunes were dehydrated plums. However, prunes are a type of plum. They are usually sold dehydrated; they have easy to remove pits and are more oval in shape than are typical plums.
