Pretty much the same type of foods we have, but they didn't have the fast food and junk foods that are around today. The Taco Bells and Burger Kings were not around. McDonald's didn't begin until 1954 so there were no fast food Hamburgers. Milk came in glass bottles and there was only butter no margarine. Frozen TV dinners were in the future and so were "diet" foods. Coke Cola was on the market but the variety of different waters and drinks were not. The people of the 1930's would have laughed to see bottled water and would have thought anyone buying bottled water was a fool. We have more convenient type of foods than they did in the 30's. Our stoves and appliances are so much better which makes food preparation faster. Their foods had less additives and food flavoring/colors which most likely made them better for you, but there was less inspection of food. Brands that we know were sold such as Kellogg's cereal's, Campbell's soups, Del Monte canned fruit, Hires Root beer, La Choy canned items, Scott paper towels, Butterfingers, Milk Duds, Hershey bars, Baby Ruth, Mounds, Milky Way and Snickers were all used/eaten.
