There are a couple of problems with this question.

First, it presumes that all whites hate all blacks. Nothing could be further from the truth. While racially motivated hate may exist, it is neither all pervasive, nor single sided.

This leads to the second issue, the single sided nature of the question. Discrimination does not go simply in the one direction, or even two. Hate knows no colors or boundaries. People generally need very little reason to dislike each other. Hate is often charged over differences in religions, culture, philosophy, scientific perspective, economic status, and something as random as an artificially imposed Caste System.

Finally, stripping all of the issues away, what you are asking for is the birth of discrimination, bigotry, or prejudice. Truthfully, no one knows. What can be surmised is that it all rises from the real and naturally occurring stranger awareness.

Every life form on the planet experiences phenomenon of stranger awareness. It is simple what it states, awareness of one that is not part of the group. In other animal groups, the stranger is driven out or killed. Humans have done the same, but modern man typically uses words and what is considered socially unacceptable behavior to express it.

In short, it started long before the first human stood upright and recognized that he was something different from the other animals around him.
