You are clearly confused. The word Iroquois refers onlyto an alliance or league of tribes living in New York state - they are the Cayuga, Seneca, Mohawk, Onondaga, Oneida and Tuscarora. None of them ever lived in any part of Virginia.

However there were tribes living in Virginia who are classed as Iroquoian (note the spelling) because their languages belong to the Iroquoian language family. They were the Meherrin and Nottaway or Cheroenhaka tribes.

The Nottaway lived along the river of the same name in south-east Virginia and the Meherrin were in the Piedmont region on the Virginia-North Carolina border.
