ANSWER FROM ONE OF Jehovah's Witnesses...
I'm not too sure what you are trying to get at with this question but if you are talking about the body of the dead Brother or Sister then that would be a no because he/she would be sealed inside the coffin, any viewing of the person would have to take place at the undertakers before the Memorial service took place.
This may depend on tradition.
No there is no special preparation of the body.
The decision to open or close a casket for a jw funeral is left up to the family and/or funeral director recommendations based on condition of decease. Many religions prohibit an open casket in the temple/religious structure.
Modest swimwear and a body of water.
No Jehovah's witnesses don't believe anything happens after death so they do not feel the need to have and 'rituals' when a loved ones dies however they will have a funeral. Also in different cultures they may have different ways of dealing with death but as a religious body there is not special ritual.
Why don't you ask one of Jehovah's Witnesses the answer up there ^ is not true. I am a Jehovah's Wittiness and most Jehovah's witnesses do not set out to be on the governing body they set out to serve Jehovah God , to the best of their ability and as for how it is done i do not know but you could call the branch of Jehovah's Witnesses (the phone number is on the back of most of their books and magazines)The members of Jehovah's Witness governing body must be male with many years experience in Christian service. They are not voted into the position by Jehovah's Witnesses as a whole.
No, currently Samuel Herd is a member and he is not white.
Caskets are not usually brought into the Kingdom Hall during Jehovah's Witness Funderal services. The body is usually kept at a different location prior to the actual burial or cremation, usually at a funeral home or a cemetry.
I have seen it occur on one occasion, and cannot find anything in Watchtower literature to say no. Answer 2: All of Jehovah's Witness aim to not offend others and show love of neighbor. However, our first priority is to honor Almighty God Jehovah. It is a personal decision to make but in order for a wedding to take place at a Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, the Elder body would have to give approval. See Jehovah's Witnesses official website for the 11/15/07 Watchtower "Questions from Readers."
Assuming you mean a dead body, I don't know of any sanction to say it cannot but I have never seen it myself.
The Jehovah's Witness Memorial is when Jehovah's Witnesses commemorate the death of Jesus. After a short public discourse based on the events of the last night of Jesus' life, bread and wine are passed among the attendees. It is the most important meeting in the Jehovah's Witness calender year and the only religious celebration they observe.
Jehovah's Witnesses can attend Catholic funeral if they chose. Many will either chose not to attend or may attend without participating in the actual ceremony. Many will view the ceremony as objectionable due to the teachings and customs sometimes attachted to such event. The Governing Body have seen fit to address this topic.Watchtower 2002 15th May Questions from Readers, Would it be advisable for a true Christian to attend a funeral or a wedding in a church?'Our taking part in any form of false religion is displeasing to Jehovah and must be avoided. A church funeral is a religious service.... How unwise to expose oneself to such pressure!'Each individual Jehovah's Witness when deciding for themselves would 'respond to the directions of the slave as we would to the voice of God' (W57 15th June p370).
