Well actually fibre does not digest. it contains cellulose which is a nutrient that the human body can not digest. But it will how ever speed up digestion of other foods that are in the digestion process. Your fiber goes through intestines like a big Velcro monster grabbing everything out of the walls of the digestive tract. The time between ingestion of the fibre and seeing in in your excrement varies between everyone.
