"Calories are calories. The answer is still 268.5."

Not necessarily. TECHNICALLY Calories with a capital "C" is, as I'm pretty sure I remember from science class...equivalent to 1,000 calories with a lower case "c". BUT on things such as the Nutritional Facts on food items, you should treat it all the same. Perhaps the idiots who print those nutritional facts don't know the difference between Calories and calories?? There is no telling. ;)

So TECHNICALLY the answer to your question is 268,500 calories. BUT if you are asking about something related to foods...then yes, the answer is still 268.5.

The original answer is correct. Capitalising the word 'calorie' doesn't make it 1000 calories -that would be a kilocalorie.
