There is no such thing as spot reduction. You cannot reduce fat only in your abdomen by doing crunches. Unfortunately, that is not how it works. You must lose total body fat to have less fat in your stomach, so burn more calories than you're taking in. Crunches help burn some calories, and help define your stomach muscles, but will not burn fat just in that area.

No it doe not. You have to watch what you eat. No, but it will work out those ab muscles. However, those nice abs are covered by a layer of fat and that is what you're trying to get rid of. Changing your eating habits first would be a good first step. Crunches will only strengthen the muscles within the belly area. Even if you do 100s of crunches everyday and don't pick the right food to eat, those fats won't go away. Hence, a combination of a good healthy diet and exercise will do burn belly fat. So, how are going to choose your food? Stay away from overeating fatty foods, it's alright to eat fats but don't eat too much of it and don't do it often. Healthy fats such as Omega 3 found in fish are are good. Eat fruits and drink good amount of water daily. Don't let yourself hungry and craving for foods.
Losing weight can be hard. If a person eats less, and exercises by doing crunches and running, they will lose some weight. The amount is dependent on how many calories they put in their body, and how many calories they burn.
Crunches won't make you lose belly fat. Crunches work the abdominal muscles and therefore help develop (grow) the abs. Furthermore there is no thing as spot removal (removing only belly fat) you can remove body fat and eventually fat will come off your belly. To remove fat you must reduce your caloric intake and do cardiovascular exercise
No, there is no such thing as spot fat reduction. However, if you do plenty of cardio and eat a balanced diet, you can lose stubborn belly fat. Doing ab and core exercises will make abdominal muscles more defined.
crunches will not lose body fat or weight. aerobic exercise such as running will reduce body fat. it takes 3500 calories to make a pound of fat. reduce your intake by 500 a day/7days = 3500. With exercise, you should lose a pound a week. p.s crunches or resistance work will only tone the muscle but fat will stil be over it.
