Because processing removes many of the nutrients and vitamins B lack of vitamin causes beri beri .and also unpolished rice has fibres which helps in digestion..therefore we should not eat polished rice and aheat.

It can be. It depends on if the rice is steamed or fried, and how much of it you eat. If you just stick to 1 cup of steamed rice, the calories can be halfway decent (somewhere around 300-350). Rice can be very healthy if you just eat it in moderation!
