Beef tongue can also be roasted, but it must be placed in scalding hot water first to remove the skin before it can be placed in a roast pan and thrown in the oven and cooked just like roast beef would, with the drippings used as gravy.

The following countries often eat beef tongue: Belgium, Spain (as mentioned above), Mexico, Romania, Germany, Portugal, Persian, Phillipine, Albania, England, Russia, and Japan. The Jewish also often use beef tongue on their holiday of the Sukkot.
