Get a small pocket calendar. When you begin your period put a little x on the date and do that everyday you have your period. Do the same thing each month and you will see a pattern after 2 or 3 months. This will also help you know when you ovulate since that happens in/around day 14 of a 28 day cycle. You don't need special equipment or special clothes. The only thing you have to do is go outside and jog.
