I would recommend not having any food once you are 2 hours away from the track meet. If you eat something right before or even an hour before, you might get a side ache. Its not good to have food sloshing around in your stomach. Same with water. Drink lots during the day or whatever, but once your track meet is 2 hours away, don't drink anything excessively. But make sure you stay hydrated, so have a few sips here and there.
You want to eat something very healthy. Maybe a small smoothie, protein bar, or a banana. Bananas really help to keep your muscles from cramping. Stay away from unhealthy foods like chocolate and cheese and things with yeast.
DURING the track meet I would recommend also using the G Series of Prime, Preform, and Recover. Prime gives you calories. You will need those extra calories because you are burning off so many while you are running, so it's good to drink Prime before you run. Preform is just the drink to keep you hydrated during the meet. The combination of the salt and sugar keeps you even more hydrated and helps you absorb the liquid. Recover gives you 16 grams of protein, to keep you healthy and strong even after burning so many calories.
