Carbohydrates are made up of two categories: starches and sugars, while fat is stored until you use it. If you don't use it, it builds up around your waist and makes you fatter.

It's not good for us. Unsaturated fat is the "healthier" fat. We do need saturated fat but it is only needed in moderation.
