There is no evidence in the fossil record that suggest that Archosaur Postosuchus ever ate eggs.

The preserved stomach contents of a specimen found in modern day North Carolina suggest it was purely a carnivore preferring live animals or perhaps carrion. They found parts from 2 synapsids (mammal like reptile) named Dicynodont and Plinthogomphodon and a giant primitive amphibian named Temnospondyli.

The fossil was also found on top of another archosaur called Dromicosuchus. They found Postosuchus teeth marks on the head and neck of the Dromicosuchus
