Probably not, but I recommend to avoid any contamination; it is more sure to recycle all defect, used smoke detectors in a special facility.
smoke...The reason that sometimes we cannot see smoke is because of the very tiny "particulates" that make up the smoke. A good smoke detector mwill sense smoke long before it can be seen. It is particles in air that are very very small that a smoke detector detects.
VG2 Immunity referrers to the ability of a radar detector to keep you from being seen by the VG2 radar detector detector. The VG2 radar detector detector is used by police agencies in the U.S. and countries (Canada for one) where the use and or possession of a radar detector is illegal. The authorities use the VG2 to detect whether or not you are using a radar detector. The VG2 detects the electronic emissions of non-stealthed radar detectors allowing law enforcement to pull over offenders, ticket them and (in Canada and some U.S. states) confiscate the detector. Radar detectors that use Shadow Technology™ are purported to be shielded in such a way that the amount of detectable emissions allowed to escape the detector are not enough to trigger the VG2 radar detector detector thus making them "immune" to the VG2. It should be noted that in Canada i believe that use and/or possession of a radar detector is considered "conspiracy to speed" and carries a hefty fine and includes the confiscation of the radar detection unit. Edit: In Canada, there are certain Provinces were radar detectors are illegal. You are allowed to use them in BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.
Home smoke detectors generally respond to smoke, or products of combustion more readily than heat. Unless the candle was placed directly under the detector, it is unlikely to produce enough heat to trip a heat element. It is very possible though, that it could give off enough combustion products to set off the smoke detector.
One home smoke detector is not simply enough for any home. Often times, a fire is able to spread rapidly throughout a home because a smoke detector is unable to detect it. With multiple smoke detectors installed in a home, a home owner ensures that a fire will be sensed as soon as it is created. While multiple home smoke detectors may be quite expensive, they are a worthwhile investment. There are a few areas any home owner should be sure to install smoke detectors. These areas are a kitchen and any children's rooms. Bathrooms typically do not require smoke detectors.
the bottom line is that when smoke gets into the detector, it's electrical current is interrupted, causing the alarm to sound (which im guessing you already knew) I'm not totally sure why the radioactive element (americium-241) has to be in there, but what I DO know (contrary to what the previous poster put) is that the alpha rays produced by the radioactive element are NOT strong enough to escape, and therfore pose NO harm whatsoever to people around it.

Americium is not suitable for making fission-type nuclear bombs because it is primarily an alpha emitter, which means it does not release enough neutrons to sustain a chain reaction necessary for a nuclear explosion. Additionally, it is difficult to obtain enough pure americium for bomb production, as it is a rare element that is not found in large quantities.
Simply... No. The FCC has enough technology to be quite stealthy. Radar detectors are not cop detectors either. Cops can turn their radar units off, just blending into the crowd like everyone else. Why you would ever want to know if the FCC are near by is beyond me. The other thing that is beyond me is why this question is posted in teen dating...
Yes. But lie detector evidence is usually not enough. Also you can not be forced to take one.
If you eat it it is poisonis and if your skin obsorbs enough of it it is.
Sure if there is enough metal like steel rebar
That depends on certain factors: i.e. what type of detector(s) are being used this helps to determine the distance that the detector will 'reach' and at what speeds will the detector be able to 'measure'. (10mph. 20mph etc etc) A better and more correct word to use here is measure instead of detect because this is what a radiological monitoring system does in reality. It measures 'energy'. Lastly, most systems fail all tests of measurement on a highway/freeway .............except ours that is! Hope this helps............
