What is the difference between a casualty and victims?

The distinction I like to make is that a Victim is someone who was targeted by a perpetrator (note Latin etymology-a person sacrificed), whereas a Casualty results from an accident - i.e not targeted (again etymology is an accident): thus someone can be a Victim of a crime, whether physically hurt or not, but would be a Casualty in, for example, a train crash.

What is the difference between a casualty and a death?

The correct military definition of "casualty" is in fact "loss by wounds, death, desertion, etc", perhaps even broader than might at first have been imagined, but having established what a "casualty" is, how do you go about tracing one, and the date and circumstances under which they became a "casualty" ? There are varying degrees of difficulty:- CWGC and HMSO ~ killed in action ~ died of wounds ~ "died" ~ deserted ~ wounded, and "other sources" Casualty does not mean death. Casualty means a military person lost through death, wounds, injury, sickness, internment, or capture, or who is missing in action. In other words, casualty means "someone who can't fight any more."

What is the difference between Allstate's Fire and Casualty vs Property and Casualty?

Allstate Property and Casualty is a closed book of auto business that Allstate has had in the past. No new customers can be added to that book. If you are coming to Allstate for the first time in Florida you are placed into Allstate Fire and Casualty. So technically is just sub companies under Allstate. Auto companies accept new customers in a book until they reach a certain size and close it, then they open a new one for new customers. It is supposed to help maintain rate stability.
